Good one, Brownies!

YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHH MARION MOTLEY.
Awesome Browns running back from ‘46-‘53. Retired after a nine-year season, but maybe that’s because he was pulling playing Hall of Fame-level linebacker duties at the same time.

Hooker played for the Browns from 1969-74, and was a starter in all but his rookie season. His best year was 1971, when he had 45 catches for 649 yards.
From the very straightforward site 1972 Football Cards (find the whole ‘72 Browns team there) — it’s wide receiver Fair Hooker. Drafted out of Arizona State in 1969, retired apparently after the ‘74 season.
More Fair Hooker:

“I think the receivers are okay. I think they’re better than okay — they’re pretty good.”

Gimmicky trick plays, monster interceptions, and 74 yards passing from the QB? Sounds good.

Bill Willis, the NFL’s first ever middle linebacker. Also part of a core of four black players who integrated the all-white league when he started playing in 1946, after an unofficial ban on them starting 12 years earlier.
Okay, enough negativity. Check this — here’s a real gang of badasses. The Browns will always have this well of dudeliness to draw from, starting this weekend against the Super Bowl Chummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmps.
L-R: Johnny Evans, Dick Ambrose, Mickey Sims, Dino Hall, Gerry Sullivan, with a mean-lookin’ Coach in some Klassic Khakis. The only thing that would make this photo better is if they weren’t standing on some lame-ass Astroturf.

Peter Pattakos at the Cleveland Frowns blog takes apart the popular opinion that “Hey, this kid ain’t that bad!”
It makes little sense to evaluate a quarterback’s performance by any measure other than drives that end in a score, and by this measure, McCoy’s performance couldn’t have been much worse. It’s clear enough that the Steelers were daring McCoy to beat them with the pass and had no trouble tightening up when it counted.
Go read the whole thing here. Pattakos does some serious blogging every week that skews a few IQ points higher than your average fan site (including this one).
FYI, I thought McCoy was rippin’ it up for a guy whose offense was getting smashed to bitz by dirty hitz.
